Plan The Ultimate Coastal Holiday
Get excited, because it’s time to go on holiday! But, before you hit the road, it’s worth checking out all the wonderful adventures you’ll have on your travels. Whether you’re planning an intimate getaway for two or a holiday for the whole family, Victor Harbor is just a short 60-minute drive south of Adelaide. If you’re taking the Southern Ocean Drive, gaze on the rugged beauty of the Fleurieu Peninsula in all its glory as you wind your way along the highway.
One day isn’t enough to take in all that the Victor Harbor region has to offer. Spend a few days exploring or add an extra week onto your holiday to give yourself time to truly disconnect. Take a detour from Kangaroo Island or the nearby McLaren Vale. Sleep under a million stars as you go off the grid at a chic eco cabin, or roll over in luxurious 1000 thread count sheets.
While you’re here, explore our curated itineraries to discover our local wonders. However you like to travel, Victor Harbor has something for you.

Leave the city rush hour behind and exhale as you meander down through the rolling hills of the Fleurieu Peninsula and arrive at Inman Valley, a short 16 minute drive from the main precinct of Victor Harbor.

Your home away from home is Esca, a luxury retreat in the idyllic surroundings of Inman Valley on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Thoughtfully designed and located with rejuvenation, reconnection and restoration of guests at front of mind. A retreat in the true sense of the word. With expansive views and a meticulously designed suite, Esca is a wonderful base from which to explore Victor Harbor during the day and retreat to later in the day. Gather your local produce from the Victor Harbor Farmer’s Market (Saturday mornings until 1pm) and enjoy a sundowner by the firepit as the sun sets.

Wake up with the sounds of nature surrounding you and soak in those beautiful views at your own private hideaway. Mornings at Esca call for a soak in your private inset bath overlooking the hills, enjoying a freshly brewed coffee out of a beautiful cup and moving through your morning slowly. Did you book your in suite massage? No need to go anywhere if pampering is on your agenda for
this morning.

Lunch at nearby Lost Phoenix Farm will satisfy all of your senses. The brains behind leading Adelaide restaurants such as Press Food and Wine, Orso and Fugazzi now play host at this former winery tasting room turned highly sought after restaurant. Bookings essential.

After lunch why not head to neighbour Cut Hill Distillery for a whiskey tasting (open Saturday and Sundays 12pm – 4.30pm).

Spend the afternoon wandering the historic streets of Victor Harbor. Art lovers will enjoy the Coral Street Art Space with a permanent First Nations exhibition as well as rotating exhibitions. Meander down main precinct Ocean Street, across Warland Reserve and pause at The Causeway Café for a spot of people watching before wandering over The Causeway taking in all that our beautiful town has to offer.
