Walking Tour: Whale Walk and Talk

Every Saturday in June, Fleurieu Marine Education guides lead the Whale Walk and Talk; an immersive stroll along the Victor Harbor shoreline that traces the complex history of whaling in these waters, from the industry that shaped this coastal town to the remarkable recovery of the Southern Right Whales that now return here each winter.

Your guide weaves together anecdotes, landmarks and honest storytelling – pointing out the remnants of the old whaling station and sharing the stories of the people, the hunts, and the creatures at the centre of it all. It’s history told with reverence for both the human and the natural.

Tour includes entry to the National Trust Museum and the SA Whale Centre.
