Every Saturday and Sunday in June, Berni; a 3rd generation Boandik descendant; opens up the Whale Lounge at Victor Harbor Visitor Centre for a hands-on weaving workshop like no other.
Beginners welcome. No experience needed. Just a willingness to slow down, listen and create.
You’ll learn simple weaving techniques and shape your own whale tail artwork from natural and contemporary materials, while Berni shares the living traditions behind the craft – weaving knowledge, storytelling and contemporary Indigenous art woven together in one unhurried afternoon.
$10 per person. Bookings essential.
