Water People Exhibition at Coral Street Art Space
June 5 - July 31

The sea has always drawn people in. This exhibition asks why. 🌊
Water People is a group exhibition at Coral Street Art Space, Victor Harbor; a beautifully considered show exploring surf, reef systems, migration routes and the deep cultural and spiritual ties between people and the ocean.
Curated by Maria Ellers, the exhibition brings together eight artists working across ceramics, photography, abstract painting, mixed media and film:
Gerry Wedd (ceramics) · Rita Kluge (ocean photography) · Mark Callaghan (abstract reef-inspired art) · David Cocks · John Ogden · Tim Bonython (surf photography & film) · Amanda Westley (Saltwater Dreamtime) · Mark Rhodes
Together they explore what the sea means to those who live alongside it, surf it, revere it and find the sacred within it. A special screening by surf filmmaker Tim Bonython is also part of the program.
Running 5 June to 31 July, timed to coincide with the Winter Whale Fest and the return of Southern Right Whales to these waters. Free entry.
