Each winter, the whales return to these waters. And each year, we have the chance to pause; to stand at the edge of the ocean and acknowledge something bigger than ourselves.
On 6 June at 10am, local Elders will open Winter Whale Fest with a Welcome to Country and traditional smoking ceremony at Warland Reserve; offering blessings for the land, the waters, and the month ahead.
It’s a short, meaningful moment. The kind that stays with you.
Free to attend. All are welcome.
The Winter Whale Fest Expo and Artisan Market follows nearby from 10am – 3pm.
