Walking Tour: Whale Walk and Talk

November 16 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm ACST

Walking Tour

Join Fleurieu Marine Education for an immersive stroll along Victor Harbor’s stunning foreshore, where the echoes of its whaling history come alive. As you wander, guided by our expert, tales of the bustling whaling industry unfold, painting vivid pictures of days gone by. You’ll spot remnants of the old whaling station, now weathered but still resonant with stories.

Step back in time with each stride, envisioning the majestic whales and the brave souls who pursued them. Hear stories of daring hunts, the community’s struggles, and the ecological impact, all shared with reverence for the creatures and their history.

Amidst the salty breeze and seagull calls, gain a newfound respect for the resilience of both whales and locals. Conclude your journey with gratitude for the insights gained from the past, as you ponder its significance for today and tomorrow.

Meeting point: Outside the SA Whale Centre.

Every Saturday throughout June, commencing at 11am.

Adults: $25, Conc $19 and Child $15

Includes admission to the Natural Trust Museum and the South Australian Whale Centre.
