Many rivers and creeks flow into the Southern Ocean across our coastline. These special places provide essential habitats for coastal-dependent native species, including resident and migratory shorebirds, inshore seabirds and waterbirds.
Come along to an informative and engaging workshop to learn about the Endangered Fairy Tern, Caspian and Crested Tern and other sea birds and shorebirds which live along the Fleurieu Peninsula coastline.
Find out how to identify different species of birds and who to report your observations to if you see them. Take home a free identification booklet to refer to when conducting your birding surveys! Proudly supported by the South Australian Government, Green Adelaide, Hills & Fleurieu Landscape Board, National Parks and Wildlife SA and the City of Victor Harbor.
Returning for our 6th year, over 300 nature-inspired events are blooming all across South Australia this Spring School Holidays. We have art, adventure, music, food, wine, wellbeing, and Aboriginal culture, and plenty of free and family-friendly events.
This year the festival explores the theme of Flow, from rivers and oceans to creative flow, impermanence and ephemeral desert flow, to the flow of communities and generations.
