Kondoli Lantern Festival Parade

June 29 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm ACST

Kondoli Lantern

A highlight of the Winter Whale Fest, the Kondoli Lantern Parade is a breathtaking celebration of land, sea, and sky through light, story, and movement.

Join the community as we light the night with hand-crafted lanterns, guided by the story of Kondoli the whale — a significant Ngarrindjeri creation story.

The evening will include cultural storytelling, music, and food, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for families and visitors of all ages. Bring your lantern or join the procession as a spectator and enjoy the magic as the parade moves along the foreshore.

Starting point statue of Nurrunderi, The Causeway, end Soldiers Memorial Gardens, Flinders Parade.

This is a free, family-friendly event — no bookings required.

Be involved in the Kondoli lantern making workshops on Monday, 23 June or Sunday, 29 June – more information here.
