Oakley Men’s Stage 2: Brighton to Victor Harbor
Stage two is all about the coast. It will start in beachside Brighton – another event first – and trace the esplanade before a sprint at Aldinga’s Snapper Point.
Look for the peloton crossing Myponga dam wall and sprinting through Yankalilla before descending into Victor Harbor for a big finish.
At 154.8km this is the longest of the Santos Tour Down Under’s five road stages. It’s set to be pivotal.
Professional cyclists are expected to arrive in Victor Harbor at 3:25pm with a sprint finish on The Esplanade.
The 2023 Santos Tour Down Under Men’s Stage 2 Finish will occur on Thursday 19 January 2023 in the City of Victor Harbor and in particularly surrounding Warland Reserve, Victor Harbor.
The following roads within the City of Victor Harbor will be closed for the event as specified below:

Island Street from Victoria Street to The Esplanade
The Esplanade from Island Street to Flinders Parade
Albert Place from Railway Terrace to The Esplanade
Flinders Parade from Coral Street to The Esplanade
From 6:00am until 7:30pm
Exemptions have been granted for persons participating in the event.
Rolling road closures will be implemented by the South Australian Police (SAPOL) commencing from Brighton at 11:30am.
SAPOL will re-open roads once professional riders and support vehicles have passed through, and it is safe to do so.
